After having worked through a proper icebath with Spikes a while ago, the dude has cottoned on to the remedial qualities of really cold water. Specifically how good it is for sore muscles and it's anti inflammatory effect on the human body.
So as soon as the gym got brand new icebaths installed, they got the Liam treatment! And because there is a sauna as well, he went the Nordic route - sauna followed by an icebath. And repeat!
Solid work dude!
On Saturday 14 December the dude attended the Bulls vs Northampton Saints game in the Championship Trophy series at Loftus. He loves watching live games so has become quite the regular, and an avid Bulls supporter.
While there, he was interviewed by the social media team for Bulls TikTok.
Unfortunately his passion - check the video - wildly overshadowed that of his favourite team, who only managed a lacklustre display at best and lost the game 30 to 21.
But so it goes and as he rightly said in that deep Barry White voice - "At least l don't have to explain to Jake White on Monday why l played so kakkerig!"
Bit of a look back into time to about 13 December, 2015. Master Liam was a spritely 7 year old little dude.
He accompanied Spikes to visit a friend, johan van der Scyff. Skyfies and Spikes grew up together and had been friends basically all their lives. He lives halfway between Pretoria and Harties on a small holding out on Van Der Hoff road.
An avid Unimog fan, he had spent a decade restoring an old Army issue Unimog truck to it's former glory. Part of the visit was to show off his newly restored Unimog.
To say Master Liam was impressed would be putting it mildly. When we were taken for a quick spin, and Skyfies offered to let him take the wheel, this changed to sheer joy as the smile on his dial so clearly shows.
All in all, this was a memorable day. On the way back home late that afternoon, after repeadly assuring Spikes he was still "bwight as a daisy" he clutched out on the back seat less than 10 minutes after we drove off.
