So on 14 April 2015, the last day of school holidays, Mommy was feeling a bit under the weather. When he realized this, Mr Mouse immediately ordered Mom off to bed and announced that HE would be taking care of her!

So Mom went to lay down, and a couple of minutes later our little hero marched into the bedroom with a tray, and on it a glass of water with slices of apple in it. When she took it, he ran out again and came back with a bowl of ice cream and milk - announcing that it is yummy stuff and Mom must eat it.

All of this was of course done in all seriousness, and he even promised not to cut his fingers when he cut the apple slices to put into the water. And he didn't!

There you have it - he is a little dude with a very big heart.

Liam is a ninja in bed

So on Saturday 11 April we were having a braai, and while sitting around the supper table Master Liam was explaining how he basically slept so wild that he chased Granny out of her own bed.

Then, with a deadpan face, he said "Yes, I'm a ninja in bed."

Of course Mom and Dad and Spikey almost fell off their chairs laughing, while The Ninja looked very perplexed - these gwonups are funny!

Little Dude - one day you will read this and share in our laughter. Have a good giggle. We love you.

The New Dog - meet Angus Argheil of Oban

On 7 Feb, the dudes were surprised out of their socks when Spikey brought them home about lunchtime after a sleepover, to find a new member of the Marais family wandering around the lawn, just trying to blend in with the grass. Master Liam immediately ran up to Angus, and the look on his face was absolutely priceless. Dylan took a bit longer to realise - he first had to ask to be certain if it's really THEIR new dog. Once he did, well. That was the start of a whole new cycle of love. Now little Angus is fast realising how happy he is going to be in this house, where pets and humans are equals.
