Little Liam in hospital

The poor little guy was admitted to hospital on Friday 28 November - serious lung and ear infection. He has been battling for about two weeks and nothing was really helping to make him feel better. So finally the doctor said that is it - and booked mommy and Liam into hospital. Mommy had to join him, of course, as she is breastfeeding still. Luckily the antibiotics helped and he was allowed to go home on Sunday 30 November.

Take that camera out of my face dude - I am not feeling like pictures!

Is that a proud Grampa or what!

World - here I am!!!

27 October 2008 - a great day indeed - this is the day I came rushing into this world and announced myself by totally and utterly astonishing the medical profession. Yip! Hardly breathing fresh (well, as fresh as it can be in a city) air, and I looked around and asked the midwife, Heather - "Does anybody here have a solution for the current economic crisis or should I just start screaming?" Daddy almost fainted. Mommy just smiled knowingly and thought to herself "See, only clever babies can kick THAT hard!"

I was born to my loving parents Henk and Glenda Marais at 5 minutes to 11, a healthy little guy of 4.28 kilograms! Mommy again did the natural waterbirth thing, and took no drugs! Eish wena - and you blame me for listening when she talks!!

My name is Liam Marais, and this is my story. This is what I looked like very soon after I was born.

I do apologise for forgetting to shave.

Heather (http://www.birth2baby.co.za/) helped my mommy with the birth - she is a qualified midwife and my mommy cannot stop singing her praises. Below is a screenshot of my announcement on her website. I would too, except I cant sing yet. Duh, only a BABY still you know!

Cute? Of course I'm cute! Don't make me scream okay!

Keep on watching my blog to keep up with me as I grow up and become a Blue Bulls supporter.

It was nice to meet you!
